Armed

One lesson I've learned from teaching high school is that, shocker, things don't always go your way. But you must never, ever let a problem become an issue. If today is rough, then tonight you get smarter and tomorrow you get better. So today I marched into Lyla's daycare armed with new determination to have a positive jacket-related interaction. My plan had only one prong: animal crackers.

Of course, today she was a different child, cheerful and obedient in every way. The animal crackers were totally unnecessary, but I left them in the car to motivate a future, less pleasant version of Lyla.

In other news, we bought a new camera. We don't know how to maximize its features yet, but you get the idea.
