Oat bag

Whenever we've asked Lyla to smile for the camera, she has politely ignored us. Until today. "Smile, Lyla."

Oh dear.

When I picked her up this afternoon, she was on a plastic seesaw by herself, and her hooded jacket was on backwards. She looked insane.

"She kept unbuttoning her coat?" the dumb teacher stated.

"So you put it on her backwards like a straitjacket," I said. "That is awesome."

"Bye bye," Lyla said either to her imaginary seesaw friend or to daycare in general.

We went inside to empty Lyla's cubby of art projects, and I turned her jacket around, though I was tempted to fill the hood with crackers like a horse's oat bag.
