Lyla has hired me as her personal secretary. I'm very flattered; I didn't even have to interview. She walks up to me now with paper and a marker/colored pencil/pen she shouldn't have and tells me what to write. It's like I'm taking a memo, only I have to write upside-down so she can see. Here is this evening's memo.
If you are an immediate family member whose name doesn't appear on this evening's memo, do not be offended. Your name has appeared on countless other memos, believe me. Still, if you want to get some face time with Lyla, I'd be happy to check her calendar for openings.
That's adorable. Isn't it sort of amazing that she even knows what written words are? Like, each one corresponds to a thing/person/whatever? I also had no idea she knew how to say my name in a recognizable manner. Am I Lee-Lee or what?
