Here's photographic evidence that when children are quiet, they're probably up to no good:
We had a snow day today. A glorious heap of winter plopped on our region and brought wind, too. Julie went in to work by 10:00 or so and took Lyla to daycare. I felt a little guilty about it, but there was a lot to do around the house. For one, Tulip squirt-shat on the big rug in our living room, so the environment was not baby-hospitable.
I got my car fixed. Now both headlights work. Oh, and I should also be able to stop again.
I snow-blowed the driveway. (Good grief: Snow-blew? Snow-blowered? Snower-blewered?) I operated a snow-blower on my driveway, causing the snow to be blown.
I finished watching Batman Begins on Blu-ray. What? Don't judge me for watching Batman while Lyla was in daycare.
Then my dad came over and helped me haul the pantry sarcophagus into the garage. Under it I was horrified to discover roughly enough mouse poop to fill a thing of Tic Tacs. Julie wanted me to leave that part out, but instead I'll remind you that even though at one point today we had three species' feces in our house, we do not live in squalor.

ReplyDeleteHa Ha! Lyla is just looking for the good coupons so she can go shopping. She's going to be so much like her Mommy. :)
