With books over her head
When Lyla finds a book, she doesn't calmly walk it over. She holds it over her head and runs at you like she's planning to crush your face with it. Catching her and setting her in your lap in one smooth motion requires practice, which you'll get plenty of since Lyla does this five or six times a night.
Julie might have the swine flu. She woke up this morning with a lot of the telltale signs and will likely be home for the rest of the week, groaning and oinking.
Lyla was inoculated at her one-year appointment, but I'm in trouble since all Julie ever wants to do is make out with me. It's the end of the term at school, and I'm brainstorming sub plans for next week, the first week of the trimester, not an ideal time to be out with the swine.
Hopefully if I do get it, it'll be once Julie feels better. God help us all if Julie and I are both out with the swine while Lyla is running around with books over her head.
